GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

At Hornsleth Shop.me we always aim to implement the highest standard of security measures to maintain the safety of our costumers personal information. We consider your personal information as sensitive information and it’s therefore very important to us, that it is contained behind highly secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of people and partners, who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information highly confidential.

We at Hornsleth Shop have therefore decided to write this separate GDPR description, to help you understand and clarify what information we collect, how we use it, who we work with and what choices you have. Since we’re an internet based company, some of the descriptions below can seem a little technical, but we have sincerely tried our best to explain things in a simple, clear and understandable way. And remember, we always welcome your comments and feedback on this policy, just send us your comments in a mail to info@hornslethposters.com and we will get back to you asap.

1. When you provide it to Hornsleth Shop – or give us permission to obtain it.

When you sign up on Hornsleth Shop or buy our products, you voluntarily give us certain information. This can include for instance your name, address, phone number and email address, profile photo, comments, reviews, and any other information you provide us with. If you’re visiting Hornsleth Shop on your mobile device, you can also choose to provide us with location data. And if you choose to buy something on Hornsleth Shop, you provide us with payment information, contact information, and information of what you purchased. If you buy something for someone else on Hornsleth Shop, you are also providing us with their shipping details and contact information.

You may also give us permission to access your information on other services. For example you may like or follow Hornsleth Shop’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram etc.) which also allows us to obtain information from aforementioned social media platforms. The information we gather from social media platforms often depends on your settings or their privacy policies, so be sure to check what those are and check your settings on your devices.

During a customer purchase

When a costumer purchase a product from our store, we collect all the necessary data to fulfil the order, such as the name, address, email and relevant credit card information, which is used to complete the purchase, and we keep these date in case of:

  • A return problem should occur and we have to solve a costumer related issue. 
  • Or if the costumer choose or return and buy something else from our store, then it will create a much easier, fast and smooth experience for our costumers.

All of our costumers credit card data are strictly protected by our gateway supplier - PayPal - who is a certified PCI Level 1 Service Provider, which is the highest and most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry (read a detailed description in paragraph 

6. Who is our Partner – and what are their security policy).

When you place orders or access your personal information, we always use a secure server.  All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases only accessed as stated above. 

Hornsleth Shop keep our costumer purchase data for at least for 5 years, which according to the Danish tax law, is the required time frame. If a costumer should wish to be removed from our database within this timeframe, we will of course respect it, and all a costumer has to do, is to send us a mail explaining why he or she wish to be removed, and provide us with a full name and address to this mail – info@hornslethposters.com – then we will make sure the costumer is removed right away.

But be aware, if a costumer wish to be removed from our database, before the average complaint timeframe runs out, which is 2 years, then it will be very difficult for us to assist and support any complaints or return issues, because after removal of all data, the customer technical doesn’t exist in our system any longer.

During a Newsletter signup

During a Newsletter sign up, Hornsleth Shop collect the following information: name, address and email. When users of our website choose to sign up for our Newsletter they agree to receive information about new designs, special offers, coupons, website changes and other relevant information about Hornsleth Shop. 

All of our coustomers can at any given moment choose to unsubscribe or delete their account from our database by logging into their account and delete it, it’s that simple – or by contacting Hornsleth Shop through this mail – info@hornslethposters.com – then we will make sure it’s done right away.

2. Hornsleth Shop also get technical information, when you use our website.

Whenever you use a website, a mobile application, or other internet services, there’s certain information that almost always gets created and recorded automatically. The same happens when you use our webshop. Here are some of the types of information we collect:

Log data. 

When you visit Hornsleth Shop, our servers automatically record information (also known as “log data”), including the information your browser sends whenever you visit a website, or a mobile app sends, when you’re using it. This log data may include your Internet Protocol address, the address of the web pages you visited that had Hornsleth Shop features, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request and how you used Hornsleth Shop, plus the cookie data.

Cookie information and data.

Depending on how you’re accessing Hornsleth Shop, we may use “cookies” (small text files sent by your computer each time you visit our website, unique to your browser) or similar technologies to record log data. When we use cookies, we may use “session” cookies (that last until you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (that last until you or your browser delete them). For example, we may use cookies to store your language preferences or other Hornsleth Shop settings, so you don‘t have to set them up every time you visit Hornsleth Shop. Device information. 

In addition to log data, we may also collect information about the device you’re using while visiting Hornsleth Shop, including what type of device you are using, what operating system you’re using, device settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data. For example, different types of information are available depending on whether you’re using a PC or Mac, or an iPhone or an Android phone. 3. Our business partners may share information with us

We may get information about you and your activity when off Hornsleth Shop, from our affiliates, advertisers, partners and other third parties we work with. For example online advertisers who typically share information with the websites or apps where they run ads for, to measure and/or to improve those ads. We also receive information, which may include whether clicks on ads led to purchases or a list of criteria to use in targeting ads.

4. So how do we use the information we collect?

We use the information we collect to provide our products to you and make them better, develop new products, and protect Hornsleth Shop and all of our users. For example, we may log how often people view different versions of a product or a design, which can help us understand which version of a design is the most popular. If you make a purchase on Hornsleth Shop, we’ll save your payment and contact information, so that you can use them the next time you want to buy something on Hornsleth Shop. We keep these informations for a minimum of a 5 year period, due to our tax laws in Denmark, where Hornsleth Shop are located. We also use the information we collect to offer you customized content, including:

  • Suggesting new products or poster designs you might like. For example, if you’ve indicated that you’re interested in a special product or design, Hornsleth Shop may suggest similar products / poster designs, that we think you might like.
  • To send you updates, newsletters, marketing materials and other information that may be of interest to you. And again our costumers can decide to stop getting these updates by updating / changing your account settings – or by contacting us at info@hornslethposters.com

5. You authorize us to transfer and store your information

Hornsleth Shop is an international webshop. By using our store and purchasing our products, you authorize us to transfer and store your information outside of your home country, including in the United States, for the purposes described in this policy. 

The privacy protections and the rights of authorities to access your personal information in such countries, may not be equivalent to those in your home country.

What choices do you have in regards to your information?

Hornsleth Shop's main goal is to give you simple choices over your information. If you for instance have signed up for a Hornsleth Shop account, many of the choices you have are built directly into your account settings. You can access and change informations in your profile or account at any time, by deleting you account yourself or by contacting Hornsleth Shop at info@hornslethposters.com, and ask us to delete your account and personal data from our database. When you close your account, we’ll deactivate it and remove your information from Hornsleth Shop. But we may retain archived copies of your information, as required by law or for legitimate business purposes including to help address fraud and spam issues.

You may also have choices available through the device or software you use to access Hornsleth Shop. It could for example be:

  • The browser you are using, since it may provide you with the ability to control cookies or other types of local data storage.
  • Your mobile device may provide you with choices about how and whether location or other data is shared.To learn more about these choices, please make sure to read the policy and information, provided by the device or software provider.

How and when do we share information?

When you buy something on Hornsleth Shop using your credit card, we share your credit card information, contact information, and other relevant information about the transaction with Pay Pal, which is our payment gateway. We may also employ third party companies to process personal information on our behalf based on our instructions and in compliance with this privacy policy. We might moreover share data with a security consultant to help us become better at identifying spam and to prevent security problems in general. We may share the information described in this policy, because disclosure is very important and it’s therefore necessary for us to comply with a law, regulation or legal request, to protect the safety, rights, or property of the public, any person, Hornsleth Shop, or to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.

We may engage in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, or similar transaction or proceeding that involves the transfer of the information described in this policy. And we may also share aggregated or non-personally identifiable information with our partners, advertisers or others.

What about our policy on children’s information?

Hornsleth Shop is not for children under 18. If you learn that your minor child has provided us with personal information without your consent, then please contact us on info@hornslethposters.com and we will make sure all relevant data are removed and deleted.

We may change this policy

From time to time, we may change this policy, and if we do, we’ll post any changes on this page. If you continue to use Hornsleth Shop after those changes are in effect, you agree to the revised and changed policy. If the changes are significant, we may provide more prominent notice or get your consent as required by law.
