At the same time, the work refers to Hornsleth's own experience in the art industry, where he has often been belittled by established and recognized artists.

The title contains the acronym FYAL , which stands for "Fuck You Art Lovers," as a direct challenge to the elitist art community, and a declaration that he will continue to create art despite the criticism.

The title of the poster refers to Hornsleth's recurring theme and motto throughout his artistic oeuvre: “Art is only art when it's not art.

As soon as it's defined as art it's dead, and loses its speculative foundation”. Hornsleth, thus, lifts his middle finger towards the established art world and associated art snobs by shouting: F*ck you art lovers!
